An employer of record is a legal-employment arrangement, not simply a payroll app. This guide explains how to assess Globalization Partners, now branded G-P, and what a buyer should verify before relying on its service.
The assessment uses public provider documentation. USRPTV has not completed an independent payroll test, negotiated a customer contract or measured support response times. The earlier “review” should not be read as evidence of those activities.
The basic EOR model
G-P describes an EOR as an organization that legally employs workers on a client’s behalf in another country. The provider handles specified employment administration while the client directs the work. G-P’s public description includes payroll, benefits and local employment requirements.
EOR, PEO and contractor services are different
Do not treat these labels as interchangeable. Ask which legal entity employs the person, whether the customer needs its own entity, and which agreement governs the relationship. A product name alone does not answer worker-classification or tax questions.
What an informed review should measure
Ask for evidence of country coverage for the specific role; a sample onboarding timeline; the full fee and deposit schedule; payroll approval deadlines; employee support routes; and an exit or transfer process. Compare written answers for equivalent scenarios. Separate contract commitments from marketing language.
Potential fit and practical trade-offs
An EOR may suit a business assessing a new international hire before opening an entity. It still introduces a provider relationship, contractual costs and coordination requirements. A local entity or a different staffing model may be more appropriate depending on scale and circumstances; this page does not make that determination for a particular employer.
